Dr. Mbianda served for six years as an Airman First Class in the Illinois National Guard. She completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing at the University of Illinois and worked for several years as a Registered Nurse at Northwestern University Hospital while pursuing additional graduate work.

Dr. Mbianda completed medical school, an internal medicine residency, and a nephrology fellowship at the Medical College of Wisconsin. She is Board Certified in both Internal Medicine and Nephrology.

Dr. Mbianda is married with three children and enjoys cooking, traveling, and spending time with her family in her leisure time.
